Biography

Federica Foresta è nata a Palermo. Nel 2008, a 12 anni, inizia gli studi di canto lirico con Elizabeth Smith.
Studia poi presso il Conservatorio di Palermo sotto la guida di Patrizia Gentile.
Nel 2021 è stata la Contessa di Ceprano in Rigoletto al Teatro antico di Taormina, con la direzione di Placido Domingo e la regia di Leo Nucci, ha vinto il Concorso per voci liriche belliniane indetto dal Teatro Bellini di Catania, dove è poi stata Berta ne Il barbiere di Siviglia. Nel 2022 e 2023 è stata Nannetta ne Le allegre comari di Falstaff al Teatro Massimo di Palermo. Ha partecipato alla mastercalss di Rosa Feola e Sergio Vitale per l’Orchestra Filarmonica di Benevento, prendendo parte al concerto finale diretto da Michele Spotti. Tra gli altri impegni, ricordiamo Barbarina ne Le nozze di Figaro al Teatro Bellini di Catania, il Trittico pucciniano a Taormina, il ruolo del titolo ne La fille du régiment a Catania.

Biography

Ian was born in Glendale California and moved to Wales at the age of five. He was accepted onto the postgraduate course at the prestigious Royal Academy of music at the young age of just 17. Ian is the youngest person to have ever completed the postgraduate course as an undergraduate. In 2017 Ian was made an associate to the Royal Academy of music.
After completing the course in 2000 he went on to landing roles in Stephen Spielberg's band of brothers & Ridley-Scott‘s Black Hawk down. Ian has starred in numerous TV, theatre & films including EastEnders, The Bill, Casualty, Holby city, Spooks, Doctors and Crash. With over 40 movie credits, he has also appeared in numerous theatre productions around the world like Jesus Christ superstar as Judas, My Fair Lady as Freddie And Grease as Danny Zuko. Ian recently performed in Wondeful town in La Scala Milano and Teatro Petruzzeli in Bari.

Biography

Daniel Ciobanu first appeared on the international stages in 2016 after sweeping gold medals at the renowned Unisa International Piano Competition in South Africa and BNDES International Piano Festival of Rio de Janeiro. Daniel went on to win both the Audience Prize and Silver Medal at the Arthur Rubinstein Competition in Tel Aviv in 2017. He subsequently appeared at Carnegie Hall, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Konzerthaus Berlin.
Ciobanu’s distinctive musical personality and technical command has led to performances with renowned orchestras such as Gewandhausorchester Leipzig where he has performed under the baton of Omer Meir Wellber. Recent and future highlights include debuts with Netherlands Philharmonic, Mineria Symphony Orchestra, Tonhalle-Orchester, Volksoper Wien, and Tiroler Symphony Orchestra, as well as concerts at the Enescu Festival with Cameristi della Scala, Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León and BBC National Orchestra of Wales. In recital, highlights include performances at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Brucknerhaus Linz, Festival Radio France Occitanie Montpellier and a semi-staged performance of Strauss’ Enoch Arden at the Leipzig Gewandhaus with Isabel Karajan.
Previous highlights include concerts with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra; Konzerthausorchester Berlin; Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen; Polish Baltic Philharmonic; Royal Scottish National Orchestra; George Enescu Philharmonic, Romanian National Radio Orchestra and at the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival. In August 2021 Ciobanu made his Lucerne Festival recital debut and he was invited for his Vienna Konzerthaus debut, playing Beethoven violin and piano sonatas with Julian Rachlin. Ciobanu made his Royal Festival Hall debut in 2010, and since then has given solo recitals in venues such as Munich Gasteig, Salzburg Mozarteum, De Bijloke in Gent, Auditorium de Radio France, Salle Cortot, Fazioli Hall in Sacile, Teatro Massimo Palermo, Bucharest Atheneum, Duszniki Chopin Festival, Teatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro, Bronfman Auditorium in Tel Aviv and the Taipei National Concert Hall.

Having first tread the boards at 10 years old at The National’s Olivier Theatre in London, Ashley has appeared in UK tours of ‘Journey’s End’, ‘Friendsical’ and was The Master of Ceremonies in last year’s Molin Rouge inspired tour of ‘Come What May’ with Sisco Entertainment.
He’s currently part of the ongoing UK tour of “The Importance of Being…Earnest?” but is very much looking forward to a month working on this fabulous Gershwin gem, in his favourite country of them all… Italia!

Conductor

As a conductor Timothy Brock specializes in concert works of the early 20th-century and live performances of silent film.
As a score preservationist, his work includes the restoration of Shostakovich's New Babylon (1929), Erik Satie's Entr'acte (1924), Saint-Saën's The Assassination of Duke DeGuise, and Wolfgang Zeller’s Vampyr (1930).
In 1998 he began his long-standing relationship with the Charles Chaplin family and has made 15 critical editions of his scores including Modern Times, City Lights, The Gold Rush and The Kid.
As a composer he has written over 40 silent-film scores, including Buster Keaton's The General, Steamboat Bill Jr., F.W. Murnau's Nosferatu, Fritz Lang's Frau im mond, and recently premiered his newly commissioned score to Erich von Stroheim's Foolish Wives at the San Francisco Silent Film Festival in May 2022.
Timothy Brock has conducted some of the most prestigious orchestras in the world, including the New York Philharmonic, Orchestre de Paris, BBC Symphony, Chicago Symphony, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Montreal Symphony, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and the Swedish Radio Symphony.
In June 2023 he made his debut with the Orchestra del Teatro dell’Opera di Roma in the live world premiere of Chaplin’s The Great Dictator (1940) at the historic Termi di Caracalla.

Il tenore tedesco-brasiliano è stato elogiato per la sua abilità vocale e l’intensità drammatica sul palco in alcuni dei ruoli più impegnativi per un tenore drammatico-spinto. Famoso per le interpretazioni di eroi romantici del repertorio italiano, ha interpretato con grande successo Andrea Chénier, Don José e Calaf all’Opéra de Monte Carlo, all’Arena di Verona e al Gran Teatre del Liceu di Barcellona, tra gli altri. Nella stagione 2023-2024 ha cantato Cavaradossi e Calaf alla Deutsche Oper di Berlino, seguiti da una ripresa di Turandot con la regia di Nuria Espert al Gran Teatre del Liceu di Barcellona. Ha interpretato Calaf anche al Teatro Real di Madrid, all’Opernhaus di Zurigo e all’Opera Nazionale Olandese di Amsterdam. Altri momenti salienti delle ultime stagioni includono il debutto all’Opéra di Monte Carlo in Andrea Chénier, Otello alla Staatsoper di Hannover, Lohengrin all’Oper di Lipsia, il tanto atteso debutto come Cavaradossi alla Staatsoper di Stoccarda, il debutto nel ruolo di Herman in una nuova produzione della Dama di picche di Čajkovskij alla Deutsche Oper di Berlino. Impegni futuri includono: Tosca e Andrea Chénier alla Deutsche Oper di Berlino, La fanciulla del West al Teatro San Carlo di Napoli. La sua grande occasione è arrivata nel 2017, interpretando Andrea Chénier alla Deutsche Oper di Berlino. Si è rapidamente affermato come uno dei tenori drammatico-spinto più ricercati: subito dopo ha cantato Don José e Radames all’Arena di Verona, Canio al Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Manrico alla Seattle Opera, Don José al Teatro Bol’šoj, sia Turiddu che Canio al Liceu. Ha cantato Maurizio al Maggio Musicale Fiorentino e ha debuttato alla Bayerische Staatsoper nel ruolo di Luigi ne Il tabarro. Ha lavorato con direttori come Marco Armiliato, Daniel Oren, Nicola Luisotti, Daniel Harding, Antonino Fogliani, Dan Ettinger, per nominarne alcuni. Nel repertorio sinfonico ha eseguito la Nona Sinfonia di Beethoven a Belo Horizonte, Das Lied von der Erde di Mahler a Brasilia, di nuovo Das Lied von der Erde e la Nona di Beethoven con Dan Ettinger a Mannheim, Requiem di Verdi alla Berliner Philharmonie e al Gewandhaus di Lipsia, Requiem di Lloyd Webber all’Elbphilharmonie con Wayne Marshall. È nato e cresciuto a Porto Alegre e ha studiato alla Musikhochschule di Lubecca. Vive a Mannheim.

Nata a Lublino, in Polonia, dotata cantante e docente, direttrice artistica del Concorso internazionale di Canto “Antonina Campi”, dottore di ricerca, ha iniziato gli studi musicali e la carriera artistica nella sua città natale perfezionandosi anche alla Yale University con Doris Yarick-Corss e Timothy Shaindlin. Ha studiato canto all’Accademia di musica di Cracovia e a Wrocław. Ha completato gli studi post laurea in management all’Università di Varsavia. Ha vinto il premio speciale e la borsa di studio del Ministero della Cultura polacco (2007) e le è stata conferita la medaglia di bronzo al merito per la cultura Gloria Artis (2010).
Ha in repertorio i ruoli principali di Halka di Moniuszko, Die tote Stadt di Korngold, La clemenza di Tito, L’angelo di fuoco, Tosca, Turandot, Tannhäuser, Die Walküre, Siegfried, Götterdämmerung, Andrea Chénier, Les Dialogues des Carmélites, Nabucco, Cavalleria rusticana. Esegue anche musica sinfonica e oratori di Górecki, Mahler, Verdi, Szymanowski, Beethoven, Penderecki e Mozart.
