Zeffirelli’s La Fille du Régiment returns to the Teatro Massimo and goes on tour in Oman, tomorrow at 10 am press conference with the Royal Opera House in Muscat.

Franco Zeffirelli’s historic production of Donizetti’s La Fille du régiment, directed by Filippo Crivelli, returns once again to the stage of the Teatro Massimo on 13th and 15th March with two great Palermo-born singers, Desirée Rancatore and Laura Giordano. And it does so on a special occasion: the Teatro Massimo’s tour to the Royal Opera House in Muscat, capital of the Sultanate of Oman, an important stage that marks the theatre’s return to major international appointments. The tour involves 162 technicians, orchestral professors, choir, and workers, and includes the departure of two containers that will travel by sea with the sets and the transport by plane of over fifty crates with costumes, wigs, and jewellery. From 11 to 14 May at the Royal Opera House in Muscat three performances of La Fille du régiment, on 18 May the concert with soprano Diana Damrau and bass-baritone Nicolas Testé.

Tomorrow, 12 March, at 10 am at the Teatro Massimo (Royal Box), the press conference presenting
of the show and the tour.
