The Teatro Massimo received an award of profound historical and sentimental value: the #veronacallas100 commemorative medal, awarded by the Maria Callas International Festival in Verona to the Italian theatres where Maria Callas performed during her career and to a number of important cultural institutions linked to her artistic legacy.
The event, hosted by the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, brought together institutional representatives from the award-winning theatres and organisations, dignitaries and guests from the world of culture.
The initiative is one of the activities organised to mark the centenary of Maria Callas’s birth.
