The young talented musicians of the youth orchestras of the Teatro Massimo in Palermo are once again in the spotlight, having successfully concluded their participation in the Bellini International Context, the international festival created by the Sicilian Region to celebrate the musical genius of Vincenzo Bellini, the “Swan of Catania”.
The three concerts, held at the Teatro Sangiorgi in Catania and the Teatro Vittorio Emanuele in Messina, featured the talented young musicians of the Massimo Youth Orchestra and the Brass and Percussion Ensemble. Under the guidance of Maestro Michele De Luca, the orchestral ensembles displayed all their infectious energy and maturity of performance with a musical programme entitled “Bellini Frequency: the line of romantic song”, skilfully constructed to create a dialogue between past and present.
